Due to its compact structure and good heat transfer performance, the finned tube radiator dedicated for industrial drying is widely used in electric power, driving force, chemical plants, etc. It is an efficient heat exchanger with excellent application prospects. Therefore, strengthening its heat transfer performance has always been one of the research focuses of heat exchanger strengthening heat transfer. The slit structure is fabricated on vertical fins, It can enhance the development trend of the boundary layer destroyed by the fluid disturbance at the fin side, and improve the heat transfer performance of the finned tube radiator for industrial drying.


At present, for the heat transfer and pressure performance of slotted fin heat exchanger of industrial drying dedicated finned tube radiator, experts around the world have achieved a lot of scientific research according to the way of modeling experiment and numerical simulation. The flowability and heat transfer performance of slotted fin heat exchanger with different tube rows, fin spacing and fin wall thickness were studied, and the basic characteristic number correlation between the fin side thermal conductivity and resistance coefficient was fitted. It is found that compared with the other basic parameters of fin structure, the layout method of fin spacing and slot structure has more obvious interference on the performance of industrial drying dedicated fin tube radiator. The interference of the type, total number and layout method of slotted structure on the performance of slotted fin heat exchanger is studied. It is found that when the number of slits is the same, the slits on the fins are arranged in a "front sparse and back dense" way, which can improve the overall cooperation of the fluid ambient temperature and velocity field between the tube bundles and improve the heat exchange level of the heat exchanger.

The scientific research of finned tube radiator for industrial drying is still in the process of gradual improvement, and the main development trend of scientific research is to improve the basic parameters of finned tube radiator for industrial drying and the basic parameters of tube bundle structure to enhance the flow and heat transfer performance of its fin side. The tube spacing can simultaneously interfere with the flow of the fluid on the fin side, and the suitable tube spacing can improve the heat transfer performance of the heat exchanger with a small pressure increase. Therefore, this paper combines modeling experiment and numerical simulation to achieve scientific research on single side slotted fin heat exchanger with different tube spacing, and analyzes the basic rules of the interference of horizontal tube spacing and longitudinal tube spacing on the flow and heat transfer performance of its fin side, providing basis for the operation and improvement of this type of heat exchanger.
